Sample size and the directional label
What the trade count next to every figure means, and when a result is only a lean.
Every figure TradeLunar shows carries the number of trades behind it, because an average without its count is how backtests lie.
Under thirty resolved trades a figure is directional rather than conclusive, and the page says so next to the figure itself.
How to read a directional result
- Treat it as a lean, and let it steer what you study next
- Do not size up or change live rules on the strength of it
- Keep trading your plan; the label reflects the count alone and clears as the record grows
The threshold is thirty because below it the ordinary wobble between samples is larger than most of the differences you would be acting on.
