You find out you broke a rule when the email arrives to close the account.
Know where you stand before the account closes
A prop firm sets you a test. Pass it and you get a bigger account to trade and a share of what it makes, without putting up the capital yourself. TradeLunar is building its own. What will be different is where the rules are counted: in the journal you already write your plan in, so where you stand sits beside your trades instead of arriving in an email. None of it is open yet. Below are the terms it launches with.
| Rule | Evaluation | Funded |
|---|---|---|
| Account priceOne time, for the evaluation itself. | $100 | Not applicable |
| Activation feeThe fee most firms charge the day you pass. Not here. | $0 | $0 |
| Profit target | 10%$5,000 | Not applicable |
| Max lossMeasured end of day, on evaluation and funded alike. | 5%$2,500 | 5%$2,500 |
| Consistency ruleDrops away entirely once you are funded. | 50% | 0% |
| Profit splitKeep 100% of what you make on a funded account. | Not applicable | 100% |
Payouts
- Payout trigger
- Four winning days
- Counts as a winning day
- $200 or more
- How often
- Once every 14 days
- Cap per payout
- $5,000 (10%)
- Ceiling per month
- $10,000 (20%)
Across every payout in a calendar month, on one account. Plans change the shape of your liquidity, not how far it goes. Up to 5 accounts per trader, so a full set ceilings at $50,000 a month.
Evaluation and funded accounts are simulated. Live capital, further down, is the stage where real money is traded.
Moving to live capital
- Profit split
- 60/40 in your favour
- Allocation
- $250K to $1M
- Carried over
- Nothing, it is fresh capital
- Selection
- Consistently profitable only
This is the stage where real capital is traded. Selection is deliberately narrow. Passing an evaluation does not put you in line for it, and a funded balance does not travel with you.
What is not decided yet
Instruments and platforms. Minimum trading days. Trading through news, holding overnight, holding over the weekend, and what counts as inactivity. Whether the ready made plans trail the drawdown with your balance or fix it at the balance you started with. Whether there is a daily loss limit. Exactly how consistency is worked out. What happens after a breach, and whether a reset is offered. How long a payout takes, and whether an evaluation fee is refundable. All of it publishes in the rulebook before anyone can buy an evaluation.
Nothing here is open yet. These are the terms the accounts launch with, and this page changes if any of them change before then.
Before you buy anything
Anything not answered here is in the rulebook, which publishes before the accounts open.
No. Evaluation and funded accounts are both simulated. You trade a simulated account against real market data, and payouts are paid by TradeLunar against the performance recorded on it. Live capital, a separate stage you can be selected for later, is where real money is traded.
